Traditional Spring Wedding with Bold Accent Colors by Rent My Wedding

by Rent My Wedding

Spring is now in full swing and calling for vibrant hues of décor and floral arrangements to make a statement in weddings! Aubrie Smith and Bryan Hasselbusch, two youthful lovebirds from Columbus, Ohio, planned their dreamy, traditional wedding and added their own special touch. From their ceremony venue located in the heart of Columbus, to their reception decor, love was definitely in the air as Aubrie and Bryan said their “I dos!”

Getting Ready

Aubrie chose an A-line sweetheart wedding dress with a silver rhinestone belt. Her groom went for a gray suit and tie with a fuchsia rose boutonnière. Each complemented one another, as Aubrie had a colorful bouquet of fuchsia roses, accented with plum and violet flowers. The lovely bridesmaids each wore violet blue spring dresses with pink belts and the maid of honor matched wonderfully with a pink spring dress and violet blue belt.  Like Bryan, his groomsmen wore gray suits, but instead with navy blue ties.  The bridal party’s bouquets and boutonnières also consisted of bright spring blooms to carry out the wedding theme!

The Ceremony

The bride and groom selected the prominent First Congregation Church for their ceremony. The church’s high ceilings, balcony pipe organs, and exquisite stain glass art made it such a perfect location for the lovely couple to tie the knot. Once they vowed to eternal love, they kept the timeless tradition of sprinkling rice for good luck and fruitfulness.

The Details

Aubrie and Bryan are Disney fans so they incorporated Disney inspiration into their reception by using the iconic Disney font on their table place cards and wedding cake topper. It seemed like even Mother Nature knew it was their big day since they even came across a grasshopper or shall we say “Jiminy Cricket” on their way to the reception! The tables were numbered after important years of the couple’s life and included fun facts about them. How sweet! The walls were highlighted by plum uplighting, keeping to the theme colors and matching the table décor. The reception’s ambiance was full of wedding bliss. Everyone joined to dance and celebrate with the happy couple!
