This Traditional Real Wedding Was Beautifully Black Tie
Andrew and Nicole’s proposal could not be any more romantic!
“Andrew took me to a beautiful resort overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains for an end of summer getaway,” Nicole recalled. “I wasn’t looking forward to the trip because Andrew told me we were staying in a cabin in the woods!”
It was certainly far from a little shack in the middle of nowhere. The “cabin” was actually a luxury resort with spa service and award-winning restaurants! After a six-course meal at the nicest restaurant in the resort, Andrew proposed in the privacy of their red cedar treehouse.
Andrew and Nicole kept those classic, traditional vibes throughout their big day, too!
Nicole’s advice for dress-hunting brides-to-be?
“Wear the dress that makes you feel beautiful and spend a little extra (if needed) to get what you want!”
One of the most memorable (and one of the most memorable) moments from the big day?
“We were told to have a moment for prayer, but we didn’t know when to come back,” Nicole recalled. “We expected a cue to return, but when we didn’t see the cue, we just stayed there for a very long time. Afterward, several guests asked us what we were doing there for so long.”
Our favorite part about the couple’s reception? They had a “crazy” hour for the last hour, where the DJ played a new song every minute. Everyone got on the dance floor and “loved the energetic vibe!”
