3 Ways to Get Perfect Honeymoon Legs
Ready your bathing suit!
If your honeymoon is quickly approaching and you’re already scoping out bridal swimwear, you’ll want to add the these tips for perfect honeymoon legs to your notepad right next to our honeymoon packing list.
Sclerotherapy.
“Sclerotherapy is a proven and minimally invasive procedure that will help get your legs ready for vacation, with a little planning ahead,” explains Dr. Christopher Hollingsworth of NYC Surgical Associates. “Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure used to eliminate spider veins, reticular veins (the blue or green non-bulging veins) and smaller varicose veins, and involves the injection of solution into the vein utilizing a very fine needle. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to swell and clot the blood. The vessel turns into scar tissue which fades from view and is eventually absorbed by the body.”
Avoid sun exposure.
Sounds counter-intuitive, right? “Excessive sun exposure can lead to hyperpigmentation and leave a dark discoloration in the treated area, especially on certain skin tones,” says Hollingsworth. You can try a reef-friendly sunscreen while you’re on vacation, too.
Try waxing or laser hair removal in advance.
Ditch the razors, ingrown hairs, and time-wasting on your honeymoon — try waxing at home, heading to a salon, or booking a laser hair removal appointment several months in advance. Sun exposure and lasers don’t mix well together, and could ruin your honeymoon legs if they’re not timed perfectly.
