Paige and Michael’s Elegant New Jersey Wedding
You’ll love this New Jersey wedding story
By the time 27 year old publicist, Paige, married the 27 year old love of her life, Michael, they had been together for the better part of their adult years. They met at a Cinco de Mayo party during their time together at Quinnipiac University, while living in the same dormitory building. Fast forward to April, 2016 when the couple took a vacation to Puerto Rico.
“On the second to last night of our trip, Michael was insistent that we watch the sunset from our favorite beach — Playa Sucia,” Paige recounted to BridalPulse. “We raced to the beach just in time to walk up the cliffs that overlook the cove. He convinced me to set up our GoPro to record the sunset, which I did without thinking twice. After watching the sunset for a few minutes he started to tell me how much I meant to him. I thought this could be ‘the’ moment, but pushed the idea out of my head immediately. Before I knew it he was on one knee with the biggest smile I’ve ever seen, holding the most beautiful engagement ring. I said yes immediately and realized why seeing the sunset that night was so important to him.”
The couple tied the knot on November 24, 2017 in an elegant New Jersey wedding ceremony and reception at One & Only Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park.
“It happened to be the first venue we looked at, though we continued on to see 19 (yes 19!) more. After deciding that we wanted a large enough room to accommodate all of our family and friends since we both have big families, we went back to Westmount and signed on the dotted line. It was the only venue of all 20 that we both equally loved, and happened to be the same distance from both of our hometowns.”
Thankfully the venue featured space perfect for large extended families, because Paige and Michael had a guest list topping 280 people.
“Our families are both love a good party, so we really liked having a room that could fit our 280 or more person guest list and still exude elegance and glamour. Our candlelight wedding ceremony was onsite and beautifully decorated with floral arrangements from Pedestals Florist, with personal flowers by Raven Hollow Guild. We wanted to add some entertainment features that our guests could interact with during cocktail hour, so we hired champagne aerialists through NYC-based company Circque Central, and living statues from Hollywood Pop. They were both so much fun and added another layer to our cocktail hour to kick off the party. Once inside the ballroom, the Frank Simmons Band kept our guests on the dance floor all night long. Our favorite part was seeing all of our friends and family in one place, celebrating us together.”
The bride wore an Ines Di Santo dress with an Eve of Milady overlay skirt to her elegant New Jersey wedding — perfect for the hundreds of breathtaking photos captured by Silverfox Photography.
The couple later honeymooned in Thailand with stops in Bangkok, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, and the Phi Phi islands.
“The flight from NYC is lengthy, but totally worth it!” the bride told us. We’re just excited to see what the future holds for them.
Cheers to the happy couple!
