A Modern Floral Wedding Arch We’re Living For Right Now
It’s no secret that we’re big fans of wedding canopies of all kinds, like these gorgeous wedding chuppahs, but it’s fairly rare to find a modern floral wedding arch that blends tradition and modern design as seamlessly as this one. The structure was made of lucite and was adorned with real wisteria, clematis, and ivy.
“The bride’s venue was a converted factory and featured an ultra-modern aesthetic,” says Leah Weinberg of Color Pop Events. “The bride knew she wanted the wedding to feel like a juxtaposition of sleek and modern with romantic elements. She was thrilled that the chuppah design did just that. When the ceremony started, the sun was setting and the light hit the lucite just perfectly.”
The gorgeous, modern floral wedding arch was assembled by Aramat Events for the August 2017 wedding at Beacon, New York’s Roundhouse.
“The structure itself was rented from the florist, as it’s something she has in her inventory. What’s great about it being a rental is that there is less waste overall since the structure can be enjoyed by many other couples,” she explained. Now we’re obviously hoping there’s an unofficial sisterhood of the traveling wedding arches.
“Originally, I had the idea to keep the chuppah in place during the reception and have the couple’s head table go underneath it. Unfortunately, because of the guest count for the wedding, square footage was at a premium and we couldn’t afford to lose any extra space to the chuppah. So, it was set up just for the ceremony and came down immediately afterwards. It was kind of sad to see because the chuppah was so magnificent.”
