This Family-Only Beachside Elopement Was Totally Romantic
We’re big fans of secret proposals and intimate weddings at BridalPulse, but this one just might be our favorite!
Staci and Kevin met through a mutual friend when Staci moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. They dated for two years before Kevin finally got down on one knee!
“He kept it a total secret,” Staci recounted. “Note even his family knew!”
After going hiking in the Smoky Mountain National Park, the couple set up a hammock for the day. Late into their date, he popped the question.
The two nature lovers took their low-key vibes to the wedding prep, too!
Staci wasn’t looking for the glitz and glam — in fact, her dream Justin Alexander dress was chosen for its “antique feel.”
“It had a flower on the front,” Staci recalled. “I had this changed to a different bridal sash and it ended up looking so much better that way. It was the first time I had ever felt like a princess.”
The couple knew they always wanted a beach wedding. After taking a trip to Folly Beach, the pair decided that their dream wedding would be simple and barefoot, in the sand. They even talked about renting a house and keeping the guest list limited to just their immediate family.
The couple’s favorite wedding moment? The first look!
“We did a first look prior to the wedding,” Staci explained. “It made the anxiety of the day next to none and really gave us that personal moment to have ‘real expressions’ of seeing each other for the first time.”
