Dream Team: Vera Wang and Laudrée Launch the Chicest Dessert Collection

by Katherine Callaghan

Vera Wang and famous French patisserie Laudrée teamed up on a dessert collaboration called Vera Wang Pour Ladurée. The dessert collection includes a coconut crème Chantilly macaron and a mango and coconut wedding cake–making this dream team collaboration unlike any other (and might we add it’s pure genius). “Coconut is one of my favorite flavors in any context. It always tastes delicate, yet complex, even when mixed with other flavors, even scents!” Wang tells Vogue. “A coconut chantilly macaron and a mango-flavored coconut were heaven at first bite for me.”

Wang worked with Elisabeth Holder, the heir and president of Ladurée U.S., to create these delectable desserts.  “Among my most memorable and enchanting experiences in Paris has always been Ladurée, whether it was tea sandwiches, shopping with my mother or taking my daughters for lunch in St. Germain, Ladurée has always ben a part of my Parisian experience,” Wang said in a statement about her inspiration behind her dessert collection.

Imagine that with a cup of skin-perfecting spearmint tea? Fabulous.

The Vera Wang Pour Ladurée collection are currently on display Ladurée Madison Avenue and SoHo locations in New York until Jan. 26. The wedding cakes will be available for special order now through 2018, the macarons are limited edition while stock lasts. They will be sold in four sizes: box of six ($24), small cube of 45 ($166), medium cube of 80 ($275) and large cube of 125 ($425).

While the collection may not be around forever, for the time being, we can have your cake and eat it too!
