Bride Elizabeth has always been a go-getter — even from the way she met her husband, Pat!
“[We met at] a bar,” Elizabeth recalled. “He believes I winked at him, but that has yet to be proven!”
However, Pat took charge with the proposal. At his family’s 25th annual Easter party, he planted the engagement ring in the golden egg during the hunt.
“Pat acted like he found the egg first when he had it in his pocket the entire time,” Elizabeth explained.
Once she opened the egg, Pat got down on one knee. That’s when the wedding planning began!
In order to help the bridesmaids choose their dresses, Elizabeth had a simple and straightforward plan: giving each girl a ribbon in the color of her choosing, and asking them to find a dress in that same color.
After “marrying the man of my dreams”, Elizabeth’s favorite memory from her big day was the big dove release!
The biggest and best bit of wedding advice Elizabeth received?
“Not to stress. Can’t worry about what goes wrong — just enjoy the day because it will be over before you know it!”
