Niagara Falls is Offering Record Breaking Vow Renewal Ideas (seriously)
Niagara Falls thinks your love story is Guinness-worthy
Move over destination weddings, because destination vow renewal ceremonies are trending, and perennially-popular Niagara Falls is getting in on the action with vow renewal ideas that are literally so big they’ll bust Guinness World Records. We’re excited about vow renewals in general, because love is meant to be celebrated, and there are oodles of health benefits of marriage, too.
This week, Niagara Falls, New York, officially announced its plans to attempt to break the Guinness World Record title for the largest vow renewal ceremony, aiming to break the current record of 1,201 couples. The ceremony is set to take place this June 23 in none other than the majestic Niagara Falls State Park, the oldest state park in the nation, with the iconic waterfalls as a backdrop. Niagara Falls already makes one of the best vow renewal ideas every thanks to being a go-to wedding and honeymoon destination favorite spanning generations, relatively close proximity to several major cities including New York, Boston, and Toronto, and timeless photo-capturing abilities that are excellent in all four seasons.
Get your comfortable wedding heels ready, because this a nature-loving bride’s dream. Niagara Falls has already been crowned the “Honeymoon Capital of the World,” and succeeding in this record-breaking attempt may just earn it the title of “Vow Renewal Capital of the World” as well (fingers crossed, right?).
While renewing your vows to the one you love is likely prize enough, knowing you legitimately had a ring finger in setting a world record is pretty nifty too, and couples who participate will also receive commemorative t-shirts, certificates of participation, and a free buffet meal at Thunder Falls Buffet at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. Rumor has it there will be a full-on reception for all the participating couples at STIR, which is located inside the resort. You probably won’t have to skimp on your trendy big wedding bouquets if Niagara is picking up the reception tab, and that’s good news for your florist, too.
