A Recipe from the MasterChef Season 7 Winner’s Wedding

You just know the Malibu wedding of MasterChef Season 7 winner, Shaun O’Neale, to his bride Katie Provost, had to be the most delicious event of the year — especially since the whole thing was officiated by mega star of the food and television world, Gordon Ramsay.

The wedding, which took place at Malibu Wine Safaris, was attended by food world celebs, and featured some of his favorite mouth-watering food offerings. The chef recently began working Newcastle Brown Ale, his fave beer, into his summer grilling recipes, and we got the lowdown on one of his wedding-worthy favorites, Newcastle Brown Ale Street Corn.

Newcastle Brown Ale Street Corn

Serves: 4- 6 Prep Time: 15 min Grill time: 15 min

Ingredients

4 – 6 ears of corn
¼ c melted butter
¼ c Newcastle Brown Ale
Newcastle Brown Ale Mayo

Serves: 4 -6 Prep Time: 3 min Grill Time: N/A
Ingredients
1 c mayo
¼ c Newcastle Brown Ale
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp lime juice

Garnishes
½ c cotija cheese, crumbled
2 Fresno chilis, minced
1 bunch of scallions (green parts only sliced very thin)
¼ c cilantro, minced
Lime wedges

To Make Newcastle Brown Ale Street Corn

1. Preheat grill
2. Combine melted butter with Newcastle Brown Ale – stir to combine
3. Place corn on grill & baste with butter (be careful of flare ups from flames)
4. Grill corn on all sides until tender but still juicy, basting every couple minutes until butter
mixture is gone

To Make Newcastle Brown Ale Mayo

1. Combine all ingredients in bowl, mix well to combine
2. Brush corn with mayo mixture coating all the way around each ear of corn
3. Top each ear with cotija cheese, Fresno chili, scallions, cilantro & a squeeze of lime
juice – serve
